Hello.
I have Ubuntu 18.04 installed and added OTB and Monteverdi through the
Synaptic package manager.
When I try to run Monteverdi or otbcli I get the following error and the
software fails to run:
monteverdi: symbol lookup error:
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libotbossimplugins-6.4.so.1: undefined symbol:
_ZN16ossimSensorModel12getObsCovMatERK8ossimDptRN6NEWMAT15SymmetricMatrixEd
or
/usr/bin/otbApplicationLauncherCommandLine: symbol lookup error:
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libotbossimplugins-6.4.so.1: undefined symbol:
_ZN16ossimSensorModel12getObsCovMatERK8ossimDptRN6NEWMAT15SymmetricMatrixEd
This seems to be a known issue
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/otb/+bug/1762378) but I was just
wondering whether a fix for this is imminent, or if I should install from
the project download page to fix it
(https://www.orfeo-toolbox.org/download/)? Or if I should move to a virtual
machine running an older version of Ubuntu whilst the devs look at this bug?
Any pointers would be great
Thanks
Al
